Journaling Through Different Seasons
Just as nature moves through seasons, our spiritual lives follow rhythms of growth, pruning, harvest, and rest. Spiritual journaling helps us recognize these patterns and cooperate with what God is doing in each season.
Different spiritual seasons may call for different journaling approaches:
In seasons of growth: Record new insights and revelations.
In seasons of pruning: Process what's being removed and why.
In seasons of harvest: Document the fruit of past faithfulness.
In seasons of rest: Keep entries simple and grace-filled.

Today's Simple Exercise: Season Recognition
At the top of your page, write: "The spiritual season I believe I'm in right now"
Describe what this season feels like and how you see God working.
Write: "What might God be teaching me in this specific season?"
Note any Scripture that seems particularly relevant to this season.
Create a simple prayer embracing this season's purpose.
Understanding your current spiritual season helps you journal with intention rather than frustration.
