Discovering Your True Identity

One of the most transformative aspects of spiritual journaling is how it helps us see ourselves through Heaven's eyes rather than our own limited perspective.

When we record prophetic words, encouraging Scriptures, and divine impressions about who we are, we create a powerful counter-narrative to the false identities we often carry. Our journals become the meeting place where God can correct our self-perception and reveal our true identity as His beloved.

Today's Simple Exercise: Heaven's Perspective

1. At the top of your page, write a truth about your identity that you struggle to believe. (For example: "I am creative." or "God delights in me.")

2. Below that, write a Scripture that speaks to this aspect of your identity.

3. Then write: "Lord, how do You see me in this area?"

4. Sit quietly for a few minutes, then write any thoughts or impressions that come.

5. End with a statement of agreement: "I choose to agree with what You say about me."

Remember, the goal isn't to force yourself to believe something, but to create space for God's perspective to gradually transform yours.
